Terms of Use

Welcome to Social 4 Beauty — the mobile application for iOS and Android and the website at social4beauty.com (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Design Nails & Spa ("Social 4 Beauty," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, posting content, messaging another member, following a salon, or otherwise using the Service, you ("you" or "Member") agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Please read Section 4 (Community Standards) and Section 5 (Reporting, Blocking and Enforcement) carefully. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.

1. What Social 4 Beauty Is

Social 4 Beauty is a community for people who love nails and beauty. Members can:

publish posts, photos, videos and stories, and react to, comment on, save, repost and share what others publish;
follow other members and salons, build a friends list, and exchange private messages;
discover salons and beauty professionals, browse a salon's page and its work, and view boards such as Featured techs;
keep a personal Nail journey of past appointments where that information is available;
use Book this look to open the booking flow of the salon that created a look.

The Service is a platform. Salons and beauty professionals who appear on the Service are independent businesses; they are not our employees or agents, and we do not provide beauty services ourselves. See Section 6.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

2.1 Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts; if we learn that a member is under 13, we will delete the account.

2.2 Registration and sign-in

You may register and sign in with an email address and password, an SMS-verified phone number, Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or Continue with Facebook. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, to keep it up to date, and to verify your phone number by one-time code when we ask.

2.3 Your responsibilities

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it. Keep your password and devices secure, do not share your account, and tell us immediately at support@designnailbar.com if you suspect unauthorized use. One person, one account; we may remove duplicate, fake or impersonating accounts.

2.4 Salon and professional accounts

A member may be linked to a salon as a professional or staff member. Content published as a salon is published on that salon's behalf; the salon and the member who pressed publish are each responsible for it. A salon confirms that anyone it links to its page is authorized to represent it.

3. Your Content

3.1 Ownership

You own the photos, videos, captions, comments, messages and other material you submit ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of it.

3.2 License to us

So that we can run the Service, you grant Design Nails & Spa a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, to resize or generate previews), display, distribute and otherwise use Your Content on the Service and in materials that promote the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except (a) where other members have already shared or reposted it, (b) where we must keep a copy for legal, safety or moderation reasons, and (c) for copies kept in routine backups for a limited time.

3.3 What you promise about Your Content

You confirm that:

you own Your Content or have every permission needed to publish it, including the consent of any client or other person shown in a photo or video;
Your Content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
reviews, "before and after" claims and product statements you make are truthful and reflect your genuine experience;
Your Content complies with Section 4.

3.4 Audience settings and public content

By default, posts are public: they may appear in feeds, hashtag pages, salon pages, search results and shared links, and may be seen by people who are not signed in. You can limit a post's audience where the Service offers that option. Comments and reactions are visible to everyone who can see the post. Do not post anything you would not want to be public.

3.5 Removal

We may remove, hide, restrict or refuse any content at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it breaks these Terms, creates risk for the community or for us, or is required by law. We may also keep removed content for a reasonable period as evidence of a decision or to answer an appeal.

4. Community Standards

Social 4 Beauty is for sharing beauty work and helping people find great salons. The following are not allowed anywhere on the Service — in posts, stories, comments, profiles, salon pages or private messages:

Nudity and sexual content, including sexual solicitation.
Violence, gore, threats or content that glorifies harm.
Hate speech — attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or similar characteristics.
Harassment and bullying, including insults, intimidation, unwanted contact, or organizing others against a person.
Self-harm content or encouragement of eating disorders, self-injury or suicide.
Illegal goods and services, including controlled substances, counterfeit products, and unlicensed practice of regulated beauty services where a license is required.
Spam and scams: repetitive or deceptive posting, fake giveaways, pyramid schemes, "buy followers," and any attempt to obtain money or personal data by deception.
Counterfeit and fraud: selling or promoting counterfeit products, fake reviews or manipulated ratings, and misrepresenting who you are or what you offer.
Health and chemical misinformation: false or dangerous claims about products, chemicals, treatments or medical outcomes.
Impersonation of any person, salon, brand or Social 4 Beauty staff.
Other people's work presented as your own, or any other copyright or trademark infringement.
Personal information of others (addresses, phone numbers, IDs, private images) shared without permission, and any content that endangers a person's safety.
Content involving minors that is sexual, exploitative or otherwise inappropriate.

You also agree not to:

use bots, scrapers or automation to access, collect or post on the Service, or to bypass rate limits or security measures;
reverse engineer, probe or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
create accounts or engagement artificially, trade reactions or follows, or attempt to manipulate boards such as Featured techs;
use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages, or to move members off-platform for scams;
upload viruses, malicious code or harmful files;
use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

5. Reporting, Blocking and Enforcement

5.1 Reporting

Every post, comment, story, profile and message on the Service can be reported from within the app or website by choosing a reason and, optionally, adding a note. Reports are confidential; we do not tell a member who reported them.

5.2 Our commitment

We review reports of objectionable content and take action within 24 hours of receiving them. Depending on the severity and history, action may include removing the content, warning the member, temporarily or indefinitely suspending the member's ability to publish, or terminating the account. We may also act on our own initiative without a report. Members are notified of enforcement decisions, but not of the identity of any reporter.

5.3 Blocking and hiding

You can block any member. A blocked member cannot message you and you will not see each other's content. You can also hide posts you do not want to see and unfollow anyone at any time. Blocking is private; the blocked member is not notified.

5.4 Appeals

If you believe a decision was wrong, contact us at support@designnailbar.com within 30 days with your account details and the content concerned. We will review and reply.

5.5 Law enforcement and safety

We may preserve and disclose content and account information when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request, protect a person's safety, or protect the rights and property of members, the public or Design Nails & Spa.

6. Salons, Professionals and Bookings

6.1 Independent businesses

Salons and professionals on the Service are independent. We do not employ them, supervise their work, verify their licenses, or set their prices. Any service you receive is provided by that salon under its own terms and policies.

6.2 Book this look

Book this look and similar links take you to the booking flow operated by the salon (for Design Nail Bar, the appointment-booking.designnailbar.com service and its own Terms of Use). Prices, availability, deposits, cancellation rules and refunds are set by the salon. Social 4 Beauty does not process payments and is not a party to your appointment. Questions and disputes about an appointment or a service should be raised with the salon directly.

6.3 Boards and rankings

Boards such as Featured techs are generated from completed appointments recorded by participating salons over a period. They are informational, may be incomplete, and are not endorsements or guarantees of quality. Earnings are never displayed.

6.4 Nail journey

Where a salon shares appointment history with the Service, your Nail journey shows your own past appointments. This information comes from the salon's records and may be incomplete or delayed.

7. Messaging

Private messages between members are provided through a messaging service that we operate or that is operated on our behalf. Messages must follow the Community Standards. We do not routinely read private messages, but we may access, review and preserve them to investigate a report, to detect abuse or spam, to comply with law, or to protect safety. Do not share payment details, passwords or other sensitive information in messages. We do not guarantee that a message will be delivered or retained.

8. Notifications and Communications

We may send you push notifications, in-app alerts, emails and SMS messages about activity on your account (reactions, comments, follows, messages, salon updates), about security (verification codes, sign-in alerts) and about the Service itself. You can turn off push and most notification categories in your device or account settings. Verification codes and legal or security notices may still be sent while you hold an account. Standard message and data rates may apply.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, software, logos and the names "Social 4 Beauty," "Design Nail Bar" and "Design Nails & Spa" are owned by Design Nails & Spa or its licensors and are protected by law. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license is given to you. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.

Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@designnailbar.com with: your contact details; a description and link of the work and of the infringing content; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove content and, for repeat infringers, terminate accounts.

10. Third-Party Services and App Stores

10.1 Sign-in providers and other services

Sign in with Apple, Google and Facebook, the app stores, analytics and crash-reporting tools (for example Sentry and Microsoft Clarity) and the messaging service are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10.2 Apple-required terms (iOS app)

If you use the iOS app, the following also applies. These Terms are between you and Design Nails & Spa only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"); Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Your license to the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the extent any warranty applies and is not disclaimed, you may notify Apple of a failure to conform to it and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. Design Nails & Spa, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer protection claims, and for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10.3 Google Play

If you use the Android app, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app.

11. Suspension, Termination and Account Deletion

11.1 By us

We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict features, at any time if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable we will tell you why.

11.2 Deleting your account

You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or by emailing support@designnailbar.com from your registered address. When you delete your account:

your sessions are ended and you can no longer sign in;
your profile is removed and your personal details are anonymized;
your posts and stories are taken down and your comments are hidden; content that other members have reposted or shared may remain in their reposts as "no longer available" placeholders;
messages you sent may remain visible to their recipients;
certain records — moderation history, reports, fraud-prevention data, and records we must keep by law — may be retained for a limited period, and content may persist in backups for a limited time.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

11.3 Survival

Sections 3.2 (to the extent stated there), 5.5, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 survive termination or deletion.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DESIGN NAILS & SPA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, THAT CONTENT IS ACCURATE, OR THAT ANY SALON OR PROFESSIONAL WILL PROVIDE SERVICES OF ANY PARTICULAR QUALITY. CONTENT PUBLISHED BY MEMBERS, SALONS AND PROFESSIONALS IS THEIR OWN AND DOES NOT REPRESENT OUR VIEWS.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DESIGN NAILS & SPA, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, HOWEVER CAUSED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Design Nails & Spa and its owners, employees and contractors from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your dealings with any salon or professional, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

15. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may change or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; when we make material changes we will post the new Terms in the app and on social4beauty.com and update the "Last Updated" date, and where appropriate notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@designnailbar.com and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

17. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional rules we publish for specific features, are the entire agreement between you and Design Nails & Spa about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment or agency relationship. The English version of these Terms governs; translations are provided for convenience only.
